Wipro files complaint against ex-senior VP for contract breach - Times of India

Bengaluru: Wipro A complaint has been lodged against Muhammad Haq – its former senior VP and head of healthcare and medical devices for the Americas – has joined its direct competitor Cognizant as SVP and head of the business unit before August 1 this year. For violating the non-competition covenants in your employment contract by including
Wipro also alleged that it was in possession of classified information whereby it emailed “seven files” containing classified information from its personal Gmail account that were flagged by its IT team.

Jumped ship at Cognizant.

TOI reported Haque’s involvement in Cognizant in reports published in September and October. Wipro has cited the TOI article in the case facts. Wipro has demanded a jury trial. When TOI contacted Wipro, the company said it does not comment on matters that are pending.
Haque joined Wipro in 2010 as VP of Enterprise Application Services in Bangalore. Haq, a veteran of two decades at Wipro, was promoted to SVP and sector head for healthcare and medical devices for the US last year. He was managing a team of 21,000 people responsible for P&L, sales, strategy, delivery, consulting, and account management.
