State declares Rs 5L aid, co to pay families Rs 20L | Nagpur News - Times of India

Nagpur: Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis rushed to the spot and announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of the victims of the explosion at Solar Industries India Limited on Sunday. Later, the company also announced a compensation of Rs 20 lakh each to the kin of the victims.

Shinde also took information about the incident from the district administration officers and senior police officers who accompanied him to the spot.
Fadnavis also said that an investigation into the incident would be initiated. A note shared by his office said Fadnavis also met relatives and assured them that the state government was behind them.
A tweet by Fadnavis said, “The company makes explosives for armed men. I am in constant touch with the Superintendent of Police and the District Collector. The compensation of Rs 5 lakh announced for the victims was accepted by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Approved.”
A note issued by the company said it will implement the inquiry committee’s recommendations as soon as it receives them. “The explosion took place at Building No. HR-CPCH-2 (Mixing Melting and Casting) Unit. Solar Industries has always taken care of its employees and sympathizes with the bereaved families. Family,” Solar Industries India Ltd., senior general manager Ashish Shrivastava, reads a note.
