Shah, Nadda to be in Kol next week for BJP org meetings | Kolkata News - Times of India

Kolkata: Union Home Minister Amit Shah And BJP national president JP Nadda is expected to arrive in Kolkata on December 26 to attend a series of organizational meetings the next day. However, no public meeting is scheduled during this visit.
According to Bengal BJP sources, both Shah and Nadda will reach Kolkata on Tuesday night. A state BJP leader said, “He may speak to a few state leaders in the night. Both of them will be present during the meeting with state and Morcha leaders on Wednesday morning.”
President of Bengal BJP Sukanta Majumdar Met Shah in his office on Thursday to discuss issues related to law and order situation in the state. “Bengal is in the grip of corruption and Trinamool leaders are also running away from giving the people their dues. We gave Shah a detailed report on the state’s condition,” said Sumatra Khan. Bishnopur MP was with Majumdar during the meeting.
On Wednesday, Opposition Leader Swaindu Adhikari wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the “increasing corruption” in Bengal. State BJP leaders indicated that both Shah and Nadda would attend public rallies ahead of the Lok Sabha polls.
Meanwhile, the organizers of the mass Gita recitation program said they have yet to receive any confirmation from the Prime Minister’s Office. Organizers had invited Modi to attend the event on December 24.
Navin Mishra, a member of Geeta, said, “No political leader will be on stage that day. Sadhus from across the country will conduct the entire programme.
