New Delhi: Hardik PandyaA return to Mumbai Indians as captain in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024 has not gone as smoothly as expected, with the team currently sitting eighth in the points table with just one win from four matches.

Sidhu said that Hardik Pandya is the future. “Rohit is now around 36-37. He has two more years to go. He is a brilliant captain and a brilliant player. But, you have to actually look ahead and make room for somebody.”

Sidhu emphasized Pandya’s credentials for white-ball captaincy, citing his previous stint as India’s vice-captain in T20Is during Rohit’s absence.

Sidhu added that Hardik is your natural choice. That is why the BCCI has named him as the vice-captain of the team.
Also, Sidhu supported Pacer. Jaspreet Bumrah For Test cricket captaincy, praised his efficiency and flexibility.
Sidhu remarked that Jaspreet Bumrah is living up to expectations well. “He was a natural choice for vice-captain. You can make Jasprit Bumrah a Test captain.”
With MI set to take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their upcoming match, all eyes will be on Pandya as he aims to lead his team to back-to-back wins and revive his team. IPL 2024 campaign
