New Delhi: Kevin Peterson On Saturday, he found himself in the middle of a tense situation when his flight suffered a detour due to Iran firing missiles towards Israel.
Pietersen, on his way to Mumbai for an IPL match, described the harrowing experience on social media. Her post revealed the disturbing nature of the situation.

Sharing his experience on X, the former England cricket captain wrote, “Well this is a first.

Last night our plane had to go back and put on another big load of fuel because we had to change course to avoid Iran’s missiles. Insanity!!!! Anyway in Mumbai and later in Wankhede. One of my favorite cricket grounds!”

In response to the escalating situation, the Indian Embassy in Israel issued an advisory to Indian nationals, urging them to remain calm and follow safety protocols issued by local authorities.
The embassy assured that they are closely monitoring the situation and are in discussions with the Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of the Indian nationals.

Despite the geopolitical tensions, the IPL continued with its scheduled matches. In the upcoming match, arch-rivals Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings will face off in what promises to be a great clash.
