Ranbir Kapoor‘Animal’ is taking the box office by storm and its record-breaking collection is proof of that. In just 15 days, the film has emerged as the highest grossing Indian film in Canada and Australia.
With collections of $4.75 million in Australia and $6.14 million in Canada, the film has now become the highest-grossing Bollywood film released overseas. Interestingly, it managed to beat Shah Rukh Khan’s January release.Pathan‘, which topped the list with collections of $4.72 million and $6.05 million in Australia and Canada, respectively.

The action-packed drama, directed by Sandeep Reddy Wanga, has also set a new benchmark at the global box office, earning an impressive Rs 817.36 crore within just 16 days of its release.

Releasing on December 1 in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, ‘Animal’ has not only garnered attention for its intense narrative but has also been criticized by some social media users for its sexually explicit and violent imagery. The portrayal of the story has also been criticized.

Starring an impressive ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandana, Tripathi Dumri, Suresh Oberoi, and Prem Chopra, the film is enjoying an undisputed run at the box office. However, it remains to be seen how the film will fare with the release of Shahrukh Khan’s Dinky and Prabhas’ Salaar in the coming weeks.
