Bengaluru: The KARNATAKA RUKSHANA VEDIKETargeted Narayana Gowda’s faction Non-Kannada Signboards and name plaques in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The workers took out rallies in important business areas like MG Road, Brigade Road, Lavelle Road and others.
He alleged that Kannada, the official language of Karnataka, was neglected by many institutions. Malls, shops and multinational companies faced protests from workers as they defaced non-Kannada signage.
Gowda emphasized that businesses in Karnataka should prioritize Kannada on signboards, citing the rule that requires 60% Kannada inclusion. He made it clear that while he respects business operations, he demands respect for state language in signage. Failure to comply, Gowda warned, would limit their operations in Karnataka.
