Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to make 140 crore people, including the poor, in the country.Atmanirbhar(Self-reliance) and have worked for it with dedication. PM Modi Addressing a gathering of beneficiaries here, Shah said India wants to make India self-reliant in space technology and defence, and aims to make poor people self-reliant. PM Swanidhi Schemewhich helps street vendors to get easy loans.
The Union Minister said that the poor have benefited the most in the Modi government.

Shah said Prime Minister Modi has called for making India “atmanir bhar” and wants to make the country self-reliant in space technology, defence, all types of business and other sectors.
Shah said, “Prime Minister Modi wants to make 140 crore people prosperous, including all the poor. Apart from space technology, research and development, the Prime Minister is committed to improving the quality of life of 60 crore poor people. What has worked,” said Shah. .
“In the last nine years, about three crore people got their houses, four crore people got electricity connection, 10 crore people got gas cylinders, 12 crore people got toilets, 80 crore people got free ration and 60 crore people got 5 lakh health insurance (scheme),” he said.
Shah said that various schemes are being implemented to lift the poor people out of poverty.
He said, “In my constituency (Gandhinagar in Gujarat), more than 1.5 lakh people have benefited from the PM-SVANidhi scheme, which provides financial assistance to those who run small businesses and handlooms without collateral. are driving their vehicles.”
“In Gandhinagar constituency, there is 90 per cent saturation of various pro-poor schemes,” he added.
Chief Minister Patel said that as a result of the schemes launched by PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the poor people of the country are now living a self-reliant life.
Shah is on a one-day visit to his constituency where he is scheduled to participate in various programmes.
