Indian Super League: Mohun Bagan SG suffer back-to-back defeats - Times of India

Kolkata: Mohun Bagan Supergiant After going down 1-4 against FC Goa Here at Salt Lake Stadium ISL Match on Saturday. The team lost their last match against Mumbai City FC by 1-2.
Fans expected a better performance from the team on their return home but they were completely outclassed by their rivals, who finished top with 23 points and went unbeaten in the competition. Bagan has 19 points from nine matches.

Victor Rodriguez extended the lead in the 42nd minute with a great assist from former Bagan player Carl McHugh. Noah then fired a shot through Deepak Tangri’s legs to make it 3-0 in injury time.
However, the Kolkata outfit reduced the margin early in the first half when Dimitri Petratos made it 3-1 with a stunning free kick from around 30 yards.
However, the Greens and Maroons failed to advance further and failed to breach the Goa fort. Anirudh Thapa instead conceded another penalty as substitute Carlos Martinez found the target in the 91st minute.
Mohun Bagan had to play with 10 men after key defensive player Brendan Hamill limped off with an injury in the 73rd minute as coach Juan Fernando exhausted the substitution quota.
