'I quit wrestling': Sakshi Malik says she won't compete under presidency of Brij Bhushan loyalist - Times of India

New Delhi: Consequently Sanjay Singh is becoming the new president. Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), wrestler Sakshi Malik announced her retirement from the sport, saying she would not contest the presidency. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh loyal
“We slept on the streets for 40 days and many people from different parts of the country came to support us. If Brij Bhushan Singh’s business partner and close associate is elected as WFI president, I will leave the boat. The…,” he said while addressing the media.

“It is unfortunate that the government has not kept its word that no WFI loyalist of Brij Bhushan will contest the election”. Bajrang Punyawho were part of the protest against Brij Bhushan.
RSS affiliate Sanjay hails from Varanasi and is a very close associate of Brij Bhushan. Given the outgoing chief’s keen interest in the sport, Sanjay is expected to consult him on policy decisions.
