“It’s been an amazing 12 years, the most important thing is that Mumbai accepted me,” he says. I made more friends in Mumbai than in Delhi. And also in terms of reputation I have got a good name which doesn’t come with years of hard work. I owe a lot to Pami Aunty who put me on the global map. Sasral Samar was my first TV show which gave me recognition and stability in Mumbai. Otherwise it would not have been possible for me to continue the industry.
When asked what kind of roles he is currently busy with, he says, “I want to do roles that suit my personality and give me an opportunity to showcase my craft as an actor.” Sameer’s last Hindi film Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui completed 2 years recently and we haven’t seen him in films since that project. So has he received any offers since then? On this Sameer says, “I got offers for films but I didn’t want to do it just for the sake of it. I wanted powerful characters or at least worth trying.
Talking about the reaction to his role as Puranandu in Pyaar Ka Pahal Aadhyay Shiv Shakti, Sameer says, “People are loving my negative character and at the same time they are afraid that my character will go completely negative. Ga or am I just pretending. Be negative. And this is the first time I am playing a negative role on television. So I am also excited and how far I will go negative only time will tell. Purindu is very close to my heart because I feel there are similarities between the two.

Ssumier is a spiritual person and also an astrologer. So the role of Purindu Guru is very natural for me. Rather, my past shastra and spiritual knowledge is now being used to further develop this character. I keep thinking about what else can be done to make it more interesting.”

When we were deciding on the look of the character, I spoke to the creative team and discussed my approach with them. shared. But we had to send different options. Sent to Chanel for approval. We sent them 3 looks ranging from very simple to grand. I’m glad they agreed with my suggestions because I told them I don’t want to go too easy on it. I want the glow that tilak gives. Gives an amazing look. And looks more sophisticated. My makeup takes about 25 minutes on average.

Ssumier also shares his opinion on the pros and cons of being a TV actor. “There are no advantages and disadvantages to any TV actor. I don’t differentiate between mediums. The only advantages and disadvantages are when you don’t perform well or your character becomes larger than life, which Enough to inspire you. For me, an actor is an actor. Yes, I believe the TV industry has not progressed yet when it comes to content. Many a times producers have developed stories. Trying to push forward, some work and some still don’t. It will take time but yes we have come a long way. And there are still miles to cover. It’s good that TV is still there. is the most popular medium in India so we actors are here to entertain the audience to the best of our ability. And we will keep it that way.”
