Chennai Corporation removes 100 tonne of plastic waste from beaches, estuaries | Chennai News - Times of India

The waste collected by GCC includes mats, clothes, thermocols, slippers, plastic bottles and plastic covers. He said that the waste is being washed away because people throw it in the canals.
He urged people to hand over the waste to the sanitary staff and not throw it on the street.
