“The people of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will give a befitting reply to the people of Indian unity and teach them a lesson,” he added.
BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said that such objectionable comments are being made “constantly” by senior DMK leaders which show that it is acceptable to the “Indian Alliance” and that It is part of their (poll) strategy.
“It’s not a coincidence, it’s a thought experiment. Congress also supports it. Congress, which has done its politics from North India, especially Uttar Pradesh, has come down today to abuse these states. Poonawalla charged.
The BJP leader added, “This is the reality of Indian unity.
Union Minister Nityanand Roy slammed the DMK over Maran’s comment and said it was their “policy of mockery” for votes.

He also dared all other constituencies of the opposition India Bloc to oppose and condemn Maran’s comments about the Hindi speaking people of North India.
“Dayandhi Maran should hear this: This is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s India and no one can create a North India-South India divide. ‘One Bharat, Shreshath Bharat’ is being created here under PM Modi’s leadership. Everyone respects it. This includes people who clean toilets and streets in this country,” Roy added.
