New Delhi: Beyond 2024 general elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi ready to start’Bharat Naya YatraFrom 14 January to 20 March.
The yatra will cover a vast distance of 6,200 km across 14 states and 85 districts, making it a significant and far-reaching political engagement.
Informing about the Yatra, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said, “Now Rahul Gandhi Already traveling with great experience. Originally named ‘Bharat Judo Yatra’, the signs of ‘Bharat New Yatra’ were unanimously suggested by the Congress Working Committee, which advocated Rahul Gandhi to start the yatra from east to west. Accepting this directive, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi agreed to lead the Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai.
Congress president Mallikarjan Kharge will flag off the yatra which will spread across 14 states and 85 districts. The yatra comes as the Congress party starts campaigning for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Some of the states through which the Yatra is expected to pass are currently ruled by parties that are part of the All-India Union.
The ‘Bharat Naya Yatra’ will start from Manipur and end in Mumbai, 85 across 14 states including Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and more. To be organized primarily as a bus yatra through the districts of Maharashtra, the Congress said the yatra would be used to directly interact with diverse communities during the journey.
The Congress party will also host a ‘Hain Teer Hum’ rally in Nagpur tomorrow on the occasion of the party’s foundation day.
