Arvind Kejriwal to skip ED summons again, leaves Delhi for 10-day Vipassana camp | Delhi News - Times of India

New Delhi: Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal Left the capital on Wednesday for 10 days. Vipassana Camp is evading the December 21 summons to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the excise policy case.
The AAP national convenor will stay in the camp at Anandgarh village in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district till December 30 and remain completely cut off from his political life, officials said.
The Delhi Chief Minister was issued a second summons by the ED to appear before it in a case related to alleged money laundering in the ongoing excise policy case. However, there was no clarity till the filing of his report whether Kejriwal had sent any reply to the central agency. Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia And Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh is in judicial custody in Tihar Jail in the same case.
Kejriwal was earlier issued a notice to appear by the ED on November 2. The Delhi Chief Minister, however, termed the summons as “illegal” and “politically motivated” and asked for their immediate withdrawal. Instead of going to the ED’s office in the capital, Kejriwal went to Madhya Pradesh for political campaigning ahead of the assembly elections in the state.
