Andhra Pradesh govt offers subsidy for NRTS insurance scheme - Times of India

VIJAYAWADA: The state government is offering 50 per cent premium subsidy on the Pravasandra Bharsha Bima scheme provided by Andhra Pradesh. Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS), an institution of State Govt.
APNRTS President Venkat S. Medapati has announced that Non-Resident Telugus (NRTs) can now enroll in the PBB scheme at concessional rates from December 26 to January 15 and avail this opportunity. A request has been made to pick up.
Employees, migrant workers, drivers, domestic workers, helpers and others working in various fields can enroll for Rs 275 with three years of coverage, and NRT students can enroll for free with one year of coverage. A.P The government will cover 50 percent of the employee PBB premium (Rs. 550 for the first 3 years) and 100 percent of the student premium (Rs. 180 for the first year) keeping in mind the security of NRTs and their families.
The benefits of PBB insurance scheme are financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh in case of accidental death or permanent disability, medical expenses of up to Rs 1 lakh for injuries or illness and maternity expenses of up to Rs 50,000 for women employees.
Medapati informed the society coordinators about the bulk donor concept for PBB, which allows donors to enroll migrant workers in bulk at a discounted premium, especially in GCC countries. He encouraged coordinators to strongly promote this information among NRT groups and organizations by encouraging potential donors.
